About Me
My Journey
I pursued a Master of Science Degree in Biochemistry at the University of Surrey and then completed my PGCE. Now, as a fully qualified teacher, I’ve had the pleasure of working in several schools across Surrey, London, and Berkshire.
The inspiration to brand my business came from my daughter’s birth, which led to the creation of Mira Tutoring. Just three weeks after she was born, I began building my online presence, and here we are, over three years later!
I currently reside in Berkshire with my three-year-old daughter Mira, my eight-month-old son Ali, my partner Jon, and our three cats: Whisky, Pebbles, and Cubby. Life is busy but incredibly rewarding!

So why Mira Tutoring?
- You want someone who can provide comprehensive support for your child.
- You want a compassionate and kind tutor who is dedicated to building strong relationships with students.
- You’re looking for a warm tutor who takes time to build a rapport with students.
- You want a tutor that has an enhanced DBS check and up to date safeguarding training.
- Your child has SEND and you would like someone who understands these complex needs and is able to work with local authorities to support you and your child in alternative provision, education other than at school (EOTAS) or home education arrangements.
- You want a trial session without an obligation to carry on.
My Approach
At Mira Tutoring, I do all of the tutoring myself, drawing on extensive expertise in both primary and secondary school curricula, including A-levels, supporting learners from age 5 through to adulthood.
My goal is to foster a welcoming and supportive learning environment, particularly for students who may feel anxious or uncertain. I’m here to help, so don’t hesitate to reach out—whether by phone, WhatsApp, email, or our contact form. I’ll respond promptly. Let’s begin this educational journey together!

“Begum was a fantastic tutor for our 10 year old son. She genuinely cares about children and how they learn best – no two people are the same and tailors her teaching accordingly. Would highly recommend.”
